A Nigerian man has divorced his wife who vowed to fold his wings when they relocate abroad.
The man had reportedly been saving for their relocation before his wife made the statement. After hearing sad tales of marriages that have crashed after relocation, he divorced his wife and used the money he was saving to change his car.
The story was narrated on X by @kekere02 on Thursday.
She told the story while responding to another X user’s post warning Nigerian men from taking their wives abroad.
A man I know cancelled his plans of leaving the country because of a statement his wife made at him.
She said and I quote “let’s leave this country on time sef,I’m tired…atleast when we get there,I can fold your wings well”

Another X user, @Claxicalceleboy, said a similar incident happened to someone he knew. He said his wife had issued her husband an ultimatum to relocate them to the United Kingdom and started acting weird when he failed.
He added that she left the house and never returned over the discord. Annoyed by her action, he was said to have processed his visa and left Nigeria without her.
